Rosé de L’Hospital
The Merlot grapes for this product were harvested in mid-September at their optimum ripeness. The unique soil composition reveals a very fine terroir of clayey gravel resting on a limestone subsoil, contributing to the distinctive characteristics of the wine. The acceptance blend is defined as 100% Merlot, and the dedicated surface area for cultivation spans 1.5 hectares. With a commitment to quality, the yield is maintained at 35 hectolitres per hectare, ensuring a balanced and refined product.
The vine density is carefully managed at 5,500 vines per hectare, contributing to the overall health and vitality of the grapevines. In terms of ageing, the wine undergoes a meticulous process, with 100% maturation in vats designed to preserve the inherent fruit flavors.
The culmination of these efforts results in a production of 6,000 bottles, each embodying the unique characteristics of the Merlot grapes. The final product, a testament to the artistry of winemaking, was bottled in February 2021, reflecting a commitment to delivering a wine of exceptional quality and distinction.
