The Hospital grapes were harvested from mid-September to October 6, 2017. The soil composition is characterized by a very fine terroir of clayey gravel resting on a limestone subsoil. The acceptance blend consists of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 5% Petit-Verdot, and 5% Malbec. The total surface area for this wine spans 10 hectares. The yield is set at 41 hectolitres per hectare, with a density of 5,500 vines per hectare.
The ageing process involves maturation in 300-liter barrels for a duration of 12 months, with each grape variety aged separately. Annually, 30% of the barrels are renewed. The production results in 55,000 bottles, which were bottled on May 26, 2019.
