The Hospital grapes for this product were harvested over a period from September 7 to October 11, 2018. The soil composition reveals a very fine terroir of clayey gravel resting on a limestone subsoil. The acceptance blend comprises 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 5% Petit-Verdot, and 5% Malbec. The total surface area dedicated to this wine is 10 hectares, with a yield set at 35 hectolitres per hectare and a density of 5,500 vines per hectare.
The ageing process involves maturation in 300-liter barrels lasting 12 months, with each grape variety aged separately. Notably, 30% of the barrels are renewed each year. The overall production of this wine amounts to 45,000 bottles, and it was bottled on July 2, 2020.
