Gold Medal at the Concours Général Agricole: The Excellence of our 2025 White Rewarded!

It is with immense pride that we share some fantastic news for Château de l’Hospital: our 2025 White vintage has just been awarded a Gold Medal at the prestigious Concours Général Agricole in Paris.

This distinction crowns the passionate work of our team, our commitment to Organic Agriculture (AB), and the richness of our terroir.

Technical expertise from the vine to the cellar
This gold medal is the reflection of our constant pursuit of excellence. Our 2025 vintage is the result of a meticulous blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc & Gris and 20% Sémillon Blanc, from vines planted at a density of 5,500 vines per hectare.

To guarantee the high quality of this cuvée (limited to 20,000 bottles), we paid close attention to every stage of production:

• Precision harvesting: Harvesting took place in early September, at optimal grape maturity. To ensure the preservation of fruit integrity, aromatic freshness, and phenolic quality, the harvest was carried out under cool temperatures ranging from 15 to 20°C.
• Respectful winemaking: After direct pressing, the juice was cooled to below 5°C for 24 to 48 hours. Alcoholic fermentation then took place in stainless steel tanks and barrels over approximately ten days at 18°C.
• Careful maturation: The wine was aged on the lees for 6 to 8 months, giving it all its complexity and generous texture.

The sensory experience: Elegance and freshness

All this technical work is now revealed in the glass, offering a highly harmonious tasting experience:

• Appearance: Pale yellow in color, bright and clear with crystalline highlights.
• Nose: Expressive and elegant, it opens with fresh notes of citrus and white flowers, complemented by a subtle brioche nuance.
• Palate: The palate is soft and generous, giving way to lively freshness and a crisp, persistent finish with hints of grapefruit and exotic fruits.

Harmonious and full of character, our 2025 White pairs wonderfully with fish, shellfish, and the finest cheese boards.
