After several years of neglect, the ch\u00e2teau was bought by Florent and Brigitte Battistella in 2012. Their ambition is to restore the ch\u00e2teau to its former splendor, while bringing the wines under the organic farming banner. “Respect for the soil is the key to our success”, Florent says.<\/p>

He has always had an underlying passion for sustainability, and ensuring our planet is left in a better state than we found it. It was his drive that enabled Chateau de l\u2019Hospital to become a certified organic vineyard.<\/p>

Florent is a respected entrepreneur and businessman in the business community in Southwest France. He is present in the the shipbuilding and ship repair, aeronautical subcontracting, spa and forestry sectors.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Brigitte <\/div>

While Brigitte has a love for wine and history, her true passion lies in working with children and helping those with disabilities. In 2008, this led her to set up Band' A Goss, a charity dedicated to \u201cerasing the differences between 'ordinary' and 'extra-ordinary' children, those with disabilities or those who have been hurt by life,\" Brigitte explains.<\/p>

In 2012, Empanda was born, a foundation she formed with her husband. \"Empanda supports associations of a social and civic nature that work on behalf of vulnerable people, both children and adults, to help them flourish in their individual or collective projects,\" says Brigitte.<\/p>

Empanda supported some twenty associations, another way of moving the lines: Enfants d'Asie (education of ethnic minorities in Laos), Enfants de la Lune (protection of children allergic to the sun), Halte 33 (night shelter for the homeless in Bordeaux), etc.<\/p>

Every year, twelve to fifteen projects were supported, to the tune of around 2,500 euros each.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
